Single kedua sekaligus single nomor satu kedua miliknya Pixie Lott berjudul Boys and Girls. Release date : 5 September 2009. Here’s the review

PhotobucketRetro pop yang lekat dengan aura lantai dansa. Itulah kalimat yang sangat tepat untuk menggambarkan bagaimana lagu Boys and Girls dari Pixie Lott ini terdengar. Dibandingkan Mama Do sepertinya lagu ini memang kurang menampilkan vokal Pixie, tapi sepertinya memang bukan itu yang ingin ditampilkan, melainkan musiknya. Jadul a la 60-an dengan iringan big band pastinya.

Liriknya sendiri mengisahkan tentang having fun! Ini sudah diinterpretasikan Pixie di setiap penampilan live-nya membawakan lagu ini. Dan memang promotional live performance untuk lagu ini lebih gencar dilakukan ketimbang single sebelumnya. And it works! Lagu ini berhasil menempatkan diri di posisi puncak UK Single Chart edisi 13 September setelah sebelumnya debut di posisi 73. Lagu ini memecahkan 2 record di 2009, yaitu the biggest ever leap to the top spot from lower down the chart, dan the biggest ever leap within the chart of any kind.

Jadi, masih berani memberi label one hits wonder pada gadis kelahiran 12 Januari 1991 ini? Paling ga Turn It Up yang akan rilis 14 September ini bisa membuktikan awal eksistensi pop star baru asal Inggris ini.
